Description:

Pulse Oximeter by Beijing Safe Heart Technology Ltd.

The Pulse Oximeter, diligently constructed by the industry-leading company, Beijing Safe Heart Technology Ltd., is at the forefront of contemporary medical technology—it is a pivotal instrument for healthcare providers as well as patients who need to monitor their oxygen saturation levels and pulse rates.

This highly effective device plays a pivotal role in a wide range of healthcare settings—from doctors' offices and medical clinics to hospitals and even home healthcare environments. Primarily utilized for the non-invasive, immediate measurement of the oxygen saturation levels in the blood, it uses innovative optical sensors that generate quick, precise readings on a distinctive, easily interpretable digital display panel.

With immense attention to patient comfort, the Pulse Oximeter has a compact design and integrates smoothly onto a patient's finger, providing real-time, accurate monitoring of SpO2 (Peripheral capillary oxygen saturation), which is an estimator of the oxygen levels in the blood. It helps detect any drastic changes in oxygen levels, which can be crucial in the preventative and early healthcare measures for various respiratory and cardiac conditions, including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), heart diseases, and sleep apnea.

Additionally, the Pulse Oximeter showcases the patient's current pulse rate—offering them unprecedented, proactive control over their health. It aids clinical judgment and assists healthcare professionals in making critical decisions related to the patient's oxygen intake, helping in optimizing their treatment plan.

Its advanced, automated features and easy-to-understand nature make the Pulse Oximeter an instrumental, user-friendly device, equipping patients with an understanding of their health status, and empowering healthcare providers to deliver superior patient care.

In essence, the Pulse Oximeter by Beijing Safe Heart Technology Ltd. is a significant stride in health management, alleviating potential health risks by offering instant, precise readings of oxygen saturation and pulse rate, thus indubitably improving patient outcome and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery overall.

Primary Use:

The Pulse Oximeter is a vital signs monitoring device primarily used to assess two crucial physiological parameters noninvasively. Firstly, it measures the patient's peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) level, which indicates the percentage of hemoglobin in the blood that is saturated with oxygen. This provides vital information about a patient's respiratory function and efficiency in oxygenating the blood. Secondly, it measures the patient's heart rate (pulse rate) that can be essential to monitor cardiovascular health and stability.

How It Works:

A pulse oximeter is a noninvasive medical device uniquely designed for monitoring a patient's oxygen saturation levels in the blood. It provides insights into the oxygenation of a patient's organs in real-time, primarily used to monitor the condition of patients with any form of respiratory or cardiovascular conditions. The pulse oximeter works based on the principle of spectrophotometry. The device features a clip-like structure that is typically attached to a transparent section of the body, like the fingertip or earlobe. It utilizes two light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which emit two different wavelengths of light: one red light (around 660nm wavelength) and one infrared light (around 940nm wavelength). These two wavelengths of light pass through the body part to a photodetector, where the lights' absorption is measured. Oxygenated hemoglobin absorbs more infrared light and allows more red light to pass through, while deoxygenated hemoglobin absorbs more red light and allows more infrared light to pass through. The photodetector captures this difference in absorption and then sends the data to a microchip in the device. The microchip, equipped with a specialized algorithm, interprets the absorption data and calculates the SpO2, or the oxygen saturation level, expressed as a percentage. This percentage indicates the proportion of hemoglobin carrying oxygen in the patient's bloodstream, with a normal SpO2 reading typically ranging between 95% and 100%. Apart from oxygen saturation, the pulse oximeter also measures and displays the pulse rate readings. It does this by detecting the pulse fluctuations in the volume of arterial blood with each heartbeat, corresponding to the LED brightness fluctuation. Clinicians rely on the pulse oximeter's readings to promptly diagnose and monitor conditions like hypoxemia (low oxygen levels in the blood), enabling them to timely administer or adjust supplemental oxygen therapy, making informed decisions about ventilation support, and monitoring the efficacy of respiratory interventions. All in all, a pulse oximeter is a fundamental device in the vein of vital signs monitoring medical devices. Its design and operational principles are focused on delivering accurate, real-time data on blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate, providing critical insights into a patient's health status. As a noninvasive, painless, and easy-to-use tool, it proves invaluable in various healthcare settings, from clinical environments to home care management.
