Pulse Oximeter

Description:

Pulse Oximeter by Shenzhen Creative Industry Co. Ltd.

The Pulse Oximeter presented by Shenzhen Creative Industry Co. Ltd. is a state-of-the-art tool primarily designed to measure oxygen saturation levels in the blood—a crucial indicator of respiratory health. Non-invasive and easy to use, the Pulse Oximeter is primarily utilized in medical facilities, home healthcare settings, and during physical activity for careful, real-time monitoring.

This device functions by emitting a specific wavelength light which then passes through an oxygen-saturated area, most commonly the fingertip. The level of absorbed light is used to compute the ratio of oxygenated to deoxygenated hemoglobin, thus providing an accurate measurement of blood's oxygen saturation level.

Featuring swift, reliable results and high portability, the Pulse Oximeter by Shenzhen Creative Industry Co. Ltd. can be a crucial part of patient respiratory monitoring, potentially aiding in the early detection of life-threatening conditions and improving the management of chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD or asthma.

Its key benefits include its non-invasive nature, allowing for minimal discomfort to the patient; speed, supplying real-time, instantaneous readings; and portability, supporting usage across various settings – hospitals, homes, or sporting environments.

Together, these features make the Pulse Oximeter by Shenzhen Creative Industry Co. Ltd. an essential tool for comprehensive monitoring and management of respiratory health.

How It Works:

Understanding the Pulse Oximeter

A pulse oximeter is an essential piece of medical equipment, engineered to measure the saturation of oxygen in the patient's blood non-invasively, ensuring the safety of the patient during and after surgical procedures.

Operating Principle

At the core of the pulse oximeter function is spectrophotometry. This sophisticated device utilizes two wavelengths of light, red and infrared light wavelengths, sent through a body part like a fingertip or earlobe. The method is based on the principle that oxygen-saturated and oxygen-poor blood absorb light differently.

The Measurement Process

The pulse oximeter clips onto the patient's finger, earlobe, or toe, where it then measures the light absorption of the oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin within the blood capillaries. The degree of light absorption alteration corresponds with the pulse rhythm. This alteration, known as 'photoplethysmogram' photoplethysmogram, results in two separate metrics— the arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) and the patient’s pulse rate. Arterial Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) – This critical parameter indicates the percentage of hemoglobin carrying oxygen in the arterial blood. Normal SpO2 levels are typically between 95% to 100%. Pulse Rate – The device also records the pulse rate, which is the number of heartbeats per minute. A healthy adult usually has a pulse rate between 60 and 100 beats per minute while at rest.

Elevated Applications

In the category of ventilators, the pulse oximeter plays a fundamental role in patient monitoring. It assists in determining whether a patient requires mechanical ventilation, or in monitoring the efficacy of the ventilation. Hence, the pulse oximeter is a vital tool not only for safety in surgical procedures but also for managing patients with chronic illnesses like COPD, asthma or heart diseases. Its simplicity, effectiveness, and non-invasive nature make it a highly useful addition to any medical practice.
