How It Works:
Introduction to the Versana Premier
The Versana Premier is a fully digital radiographic system designed to simplify advanced radiology procedures while delivering high-quality, personalized care. It is among the high-grade
X-ray Machines commonly utilized in regular practices for a plethora of medical apps and protocols.
Functioning of this Device
The Versana Premier operates on the intricate manipulation of X-rays - a type of highly penetrating electromagnetic radiation, with wavelengths shorter than those of visible light. Generation of this radiation is achieved through a cylindrical tube that harnesses the high-energy, electron-producing capacity of cathode filaments and the associated voltage potential of an anode target.
The Device Cycle:
When activated, a heated filament within the cathode generates a stream of high-speed electrons. These electrons are attracted towards the opposite end of the tube, the anode, by a high voltage potential. Upon striking the anode, the kinetic energy of the electrons is converted into X-radiation.
Once produced, the X-ray radiation travels through the tube and strikes the patient's body area of interest. Depending on the density and composition of the tissues they encounter, different amounts of the X-rays are absorbed or continue to travel unimpeded.
Finally, the unabsorbed X-rays strike a digital detector on the opposite side of the patient. This detector converts the intensity pattern of the X-rays into a digital signal which is then processed by a computer to create a digital image. This image can then be analyzed, stored, and shared electronically.
Benefits of the Versana Premier
The Versana Premier, with its state-of-the-art imaging processing algorithms and proprietary hardware, can optimize capture parameters and auto-processing for each imaging study, and thereby ensure optimal image quality across a wide range of patients and study types. It also features advanced applications like Bone suppression imaging, automated tube & detector movements, advanced stitching, and remote servicing capabilities.
Conclusion
In summary, the Versana Premier offers a versatile solution that seamlessly integrates with clinical workflows and raises the bar for excellence in patient care. With its superior design, powerful capabilities, and customization, it is undoubtedly an indispensable device for any modern medical practice.
